The Horseshoe Inn

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Today we visited the Horseshoe Inn at Mamhilad (near Pontypool) in south Wales.  Interesting place! The first thing that took me by surprise was that when the waitress went to tell us about the specials, she pointed us to the specials board, noticed that there was some things missing from it ...

Fine Fish From Loch Fyne

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Another chain restaurant which the wife and I do enjoy visiting is Loch Fyne Restaurants.  They do a nice range in fish dishes prepared well with a price that doesn't break the bank. The good thing with chain restaurants is that once you've found one that you like, you know that ...

Lunch at Chapter Two

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

We visited a restaurant called Chapter Two for lunch today.  Its located in the rather upmarket Blackheath village in South East London.  We hadn't booked, and expected to be turned away for that reason - but surprisingly, they were able to fit us in.  Wallet was especially chuffed as we ordered from ...
